As of 2010, Maartje has been connected to BeBright, as our expert in social innovation, and a creative workshopper and innovator in general.
Maartje is an Innovation Management Master and has expanded this knowledge with studies in marketing and creativity, including interior decoration, creative meeting techniques and visual arts. With a major in Environmental Technology, she will always value the participation of (future) users in the design of their daily environment.
She started her career in social innovation at the Dutch national government and worked her way up to the expert level in ‘New Ways of Working’. In several consultancy positions she has developed design concepts: translations of the organization, use and (future) activities into experience and design. With the help of user research, requirement analyses and (marketing) concept development, she will help her clients to come to a design that is both esthetical and functional, now and in the future.
Maartje stays bright by exploring the globe and meeting new people. She could leave for a year or for a few days, and will always come back with new connections and ideas and above all, with a renewed amazement of the impact of design on human beings. With www.solarkids.nl she educates children to think sustainable.
